A loft way of living.

A new way of living has been designed for Curaçao with The Cubes — bringing a loft style of living to the island in a way that hadn’t been explored here before. Double-height living spaces, open stairs, and mezzanine bedrooms replace the conventional room-by-room house with something closer to an urban loft.

Less footprint, more outdoors.

The goal was never the aesthetics of a loft alone. By stacking living space vertically rather than spreading it across the plot, The Cubes uses a smaller footprint — giving owners back more outdoor space than a conventional single-storey layout ever could.

Key ideas.

01

A loft, reimagined

Double-height living spaces and open stairways bring a loft aesthetic rarely seen in Curaçao’s residential architecture.

02

A smaller footprint, by design

Compact, stacked volumes free up land for outdoor space instead of more enclosed square meters.

03

A mezzanine for every home

Bedrooms float above the living areas, connected by open stairs and skylights that pull daylight deep into the plan.

Cubes that breathe.

Between the volumes, narrow planted pathways and courtyards let light and air move through the site, softening the geometry of the cubes with greenery. The result is a home that feels compact from the street and expansive from within.

Less footprint, more life outside.
